Getting Started
- You and Dr. Woessner will consult on what type of transplant will best provide you with the results you are seeking.
- This consultation will conclude with Dr. Woessner determining how many donor grafts from the back of your head will be required.
Surgery
- You will receive a low dose oral sedative to relax you through the surgery.
- After an anesthetic is administered with vibratory stimulation to counteract pain, a graft strip is removed, then surgically dissected under magnification to produce mini and micro grafts.
- The micrografts are then inserted in the pre-arranged pattern into the scalp.
- After surgery, you will be given instruction and medications to take home — no trip to a pharmacy is necessary.
- Sutures are removed after 10 days.
Surgical Results
- Results are usually evident in 4-5 months and continue to improve over a course of 9-12 months.
- The grafted hair is natural and permanent.
